Join Our New Automation Community on Discord
I have an announcement that I’m genuinely excited about.
After years of getting emails, comments, and DMs asking for help with n8n workflows, I’ve decided to create something I should have built a long time ago:
A dedicated community for automation enthusiasts.
Why Discord?
You might be wondering: “Another Discord server? Really?”
Here’s the thing—I tried every other option:
- Email is great for newsletters, but terrible for conversations
- Comments on blog posts get buried and hard to search
- LinkedIn/Twitter are noisy and ephemeral
- Slack feels too corporate and expensive for communities
- Forums feel outdated and require yet another login
Discord hits the sweet spot:
- ✓ Real-time conversations when you need help
- ✓ Organized channels by topic
- ✓ Searchable message history
- ✓ Free forever (no paywalls)
- ✓ Mobile app + desktop + web
- ✓ Great for async communication (not everyone’s online 24/7)
What You’ll Get
1. Direct Access to Me
I’m committing to:
- Weekly Q&A sessions (live, every Tuesday)
- 2-3 check-ins per day in #ask-mike
- Workflow reviews when you share in #feedback-requests
No more waiting days for email responses. Ask in Discord, get answers in hours (sometimes minutes).
2. A Library of Working Workflows
The community already has 100+ tested workflows ready to import:
- Email automation sequences
- Sales pipeline automation
- E-commerce order processing
- Social media scheduling
- Data analytics and reporting
- Customer support workflows
All with JSON exports. Just download, import to n8n, and adapt to your needs.
3. Help From Real People
Look, I know how frustrating it is to hit a wall at 11 PM debugging a webhook.
In this community, there are:
- Experienced n8n users who’ve solved the same problems
- Beginners asking the same questions you have
- People in your industry facing similar challenges
No question is too basic. We have a dedicated #beginner-help channel where “dumb questions” don’t exist.
4. Exclusive Deals & Early Access
Community members get:
- Exclusive DashNex discounts (beyond my regular affiliate offers)
- Early access to new workflows before they hit the blog
- First dibs on AppSumo/lifetime deals I find
- Beta access to any tools I build in the future
Who This Is For
You’ll love this community if you:
- Use n8n (or want to learn it)
- Are tired of monthly SaaS subscriptions
- Want to automate your business but don’t know where to start
- Already automate but want to level up
- Enjoy helping others and sharing knowledge
- Believe automation should be accessible to everyone
You probably won’t fit if you:
- Just want to promote your own products (we have rules against spam)
- Expect instant answers 24/7 (it’s a community, not a helpdesk)
- Aren’t willing to help others occasionally
The Community Values
Three simple rules:
- Be Respectful - Kindness goes a long way. We welcome all experience levels.
- Be Helpful - Share what you know. Answer when you can. Pay it forward.
- Be Professional - Stay on topic. No spam. Add value to every conversation.
Read the full Community Guidelines for details.
What Happens After You Join
Here’s your onboarding:
- Read #rules - Quick 2-minute read of community guidelines
- Introduce yourself in #introductions - Where are you from? What do you automate?
- Choose your roles in #role-selection - Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced, plus interests
- Ask your first question or share a workflow - Jump right in!
I’ll personally welcome you and answer any questions.
FAQ
Q: Is this free? A: Yes, 100% free forever. No premium tiers, no paywalls.
Q: Do I need to use Discord all the time? A: Nope! Check in when you need help or have something to share. Async is totally fine.
Q: What if I’m a complete beginner to n8n? A: Perfect! We have a #beginner-help channel specifically for you. Start with my getting started guide then ask questions in Discord.
Q: Can I promote my automation services? A: Light self-promotion is fine if you’re adding value (answer questions first!). See guidelines for details.
Q: Will you still write blog posts? A: Absolutely! The blog isn’t going anywhere. Discord is for conversations; the blog is for structured tutorials.
Q: What about DashNex? A: We have a dedicated #dashnex-support channel for setup help and questions.

Ready to connect with automation enthusiasts?
It takes 30 seconds. No email required.
See you in there! 🚀
P.S. If you’re on the fence, just join and lurk for a week. You can leave anytime. But I have a feeling you’ll stick around once you see the quality of conversations happening.
P.P.S. Founding members (first 100) will get a special @Founder role and recognition. Just saying. 😉
